HOW ONE-TOUCH DVIR COMPARES TO ZONAR, SAMSARA, AND WHIP AROUND

FOUR PRODUCTS. FOUR DIFFERENT ANSWERS TO "WHO IS THIS FOR."

The comparison above looks like One-Touch DVIR wins on most rows. That's only true if you are the customer we are built for. Here's how to actually read it:

If you're a small rural school district (10–50 buses, one to three garages, no dedicated IT staff, tight budget, supervisor wears six hats): the table reflects a real cost and complexity difference. One-Touch DVIR was designed for this exact profile. The other three were not.

If you're a 200-bus district with a fleet manager, integrated telematics, and a multi-year procurement cycle: Zonar or Samsara are probably the right fit. The hardware bundle that looks like a cost penalty on this table actually delivers value at your scale — engine diagnostics, route optimization, geofencing, driver scorecards — that One-Touch DVIR doesn't try to deliver.

If you're a small commercial trucking operation (not school bus): Whip Around is probably worth a look. We're not built for over-the-road commercial use.

This page exists because Transportation Directors keep asking us how we compare. The honest answer is: we are the right tool when you are the right customer for it. If you're not, we'll tell you that directly.

THINGS WE DELIBERATELY DON'T DO

These are not bugs. They are the boundaries that let us charge $20/driver/month sustainably. A product that tries to be everything to everyone cannot be $20/driver/month and still work.

READY TO COMPARE US AGAINST YOUR CURRENT QUOTE?

Send us a redacted copy of your current vendor's most recent invoice or quote (cover up anything sensitive — we just need the line items and unit pricing). We'll send back a side-by-side cost comparison using your district's actual fleet size, not a generic table. No obligation. No salesperson. Just numbers.
